6 simple and effective skincare routine

Fall is a pivotal season for your skin. After the summer, it is in transition: you will have to get rid of the toxins accumulated during the summer so that your skin can breathe better. In the fall, the weather changes and you need to help your skin cope with the changing seasons. To keep your skin healthy, you need to take care of it gently and have an effective daily skincare routine. In this article, you will find 6 skincare tips that will allow you to update your beauty routine for this fall.

Drink enough

We are about 60% water. During the day, we lose this water mainly through urine and perspiration. To remedy this loss, we must often hydrate ourselves. Our water consumption would also have an impact on the quality of our skin, and it is for this reason that it is advisable to drink about 1.5 L per day in small quantities.

Eat healthy

Your diet has an impact on your skin. If you have a poor diet, your skin can suffer the consequences by showing pimples, redness, dullness and even dryness. Foods that are too fatty, for example, can saturate your stomach and have repercussions on your skin. Industrial sugars consumed in large quantities also have an effect on the skin by stimulating the secretion of sebum. This fall, opt for fruits, seasonal vegetables and local products. The apple can become your ally, this one having a great power of cellular regeneration; the squash will promote the radiance of your complexion thanks to its antioxidants.

Use an air humidifier

If your skin feels dry, it may be due to air quality. Your skin faces different changes over the seasons: heating, air conditioning, pollution… To remedy this, you can use an air humidifier in your home. This will allow you to reduce the dryness of the air: it is indeed advisable to have an air humidity rate of between 40% and 60%. The air humidifier will be your ally to rebalance the hydration of your skin.

Protect your skin

Summer is behind you and you think it’s no longer necessary to protect your skin? This is a received and erroneous idea. Even in autumn, the sun can have an impact on your skin. It is therefore advisable to apply sun protection, even when it is cold. When choosing your sunscreen, you should check that it contains moisturizing agents such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid.

Properly moisturize your skin with a stronger product

When the cold is on its way, you need to hydrate yourself more than in summer. Choose a more nourishing cream, both for the day and for the evening. On a well-cleansed face, moisturize before your skin feels tight. This will allow you to have a more supple and firmer skin. Hydration of the face is important because it is the part that is most exposed when it is cold, but that does not mean that you should forget the rest of your body.

In order to avoid the accumulation of sebum and to deeply cleanse your skin, exfoliation is an important step in your skincare routine which will also allow you to eliminate dead skin cells. Ideally, exfoliate once a week. Depending on your skin type, you will need an exfoliator with more or less grains. Be careful not to attack and irritate your skin, otherwise it will secrete more sebum to protect itself.
